Navjot Sidhu to meet CM Channi at 3pm today, Will the appointments of AG, DGP be rolled back?

Navjot Sidhu took to twitter today to inform that Punjab CM Channi had earlier invited him for talks after he resigned, therefore, he will meet CM Channi at 3pm in Chandigarh.

Two days after resigning and showing his firm commitmenttowards not compromising on Punjab's future, Navjot Sidhu finally decided todiscuss his issues with Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi.

Navjot Sidhu took to twitter today to inform that PunjabCM Channi had earlier invited him for talks after he resigned, therefore, hewill meet CM Channi at 3pm in Chandigarh.

"Chief Minister has invited me for talks...willreciprocate by reaching Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh at 3:00 PM today; he iswelcome for any discussions!" Navjot Singh Sidhu said in a tweet.

Earlier, Navjot Sidhu in a letter to party PresidentSonia Gandhi, wrote, "The collapse of a man's character stems from thecompromise corner, I can never compromise on Punjab's future and the agenda forthe welfare of Punjab."

"Therefore, I hereby resign as the President of thePunjab Pradesh Congress Committee. Will continue to serve the Congress,"he added.

It was learnt that Sidhu was upset over the non-inclusionof the MLAs of his choice in the expanded Cabinet and the appointment of newAdvocate General, A.P.S. Deol and DGP Iqbad Sahota.

Sources say in the meeting with Punjab CM, Navjot Sidhuwill strongly oppose DGP, AG appointments.

Meanwhile, Sidhu’s close aide and advisor, MohammadMustafa, said, “Navjot Singh Sidhu will remain the president of Punjab Congressand lead the party in upcoming elections. There are small issues which will beresolved soon”.

He said "The Congress leadership is mindful ofNavjot Sidhu's abilities, and Sidhu is not beyond Congress leadership. He isnot Amarinder Singh, who has shown little interest in the Congress or itsleadership”

Sidhu, he claims, "acts emotionally at times”, whichthe Congress leadership is aware of.
