The Delhi–Amritsar High-Speed Rail Steam is a planned 459 km high-speed rail line connecting New Delhi to Amritsar, passing through major cities such as Chandigarh, Ludhiana, and Jalandhar. This project aims to reduce travel time between Delhi and Amritsar from the current 6-7 hours to under two and a half hours.
The Delhi–Fazilka line is an operational railway line that connects Delhi to Fazilka in Punjab, under the administrative jurisdiction of Northern Railway. This line increases connectivity between Delhi and various regions of Punjab, facilitating passenger and freight movement.
The Ludhiana–Fazilka line connects Ludhiana to Fazilka in Punjab, thereby strengthening the state’s internal connectivity and its links with neighboring states. This line is also under the administrative jurisdiction of Northern Railway.
