Nitish Kumar's MLA Gopal Mandal started roaming in underwear and ganji in Tejas Rajdhani Express

Other passengers objected strongly to the MLA's display and it almost led to a fight.

In a matter of extreme shame for Bihar ChiefMinister Nitish Kumar, an MLA from his Janata Dal (United) party was caught oncamera walking in his undergarments on a train yesterday.

On Thursday night, Narendra Kumar Neerajalias Gopal Mandal, an MLA from Gopalpur Vidhan Sabha of Bhagalpur district,was travelling in the A-1 coach of Patna-New Delhi Tejas Rajdhani Express.

As soon as the train left Patna, the MLA wasseen walking around in his undergarments. Even after fellow passengersprotested, he was seen walking towards the toilet in the same attire.

Defending his action, Mandal said, "Itis not that serious an issue. I was only wearing the undergarments as mystomach was upset during the journey. I do not lie".

Reports state that Mandal - who is a JDU MLAfrom Gopalpur removed his clothes, once he boarded the train to Patna and beganroaming around in his shameful state. When passengers complained, Mandalrebuked them saying," You don't know who I am. I can do anything within aminute". Upon the RPF's intervention, the police lodged a complaintagainst Mandal.

As per reports, this is not the first timeGopal Mandal has stirred controversy. In March, Bhagalpur villagers held himhostage in opposition to a 20-acre land deal acquisition. When Mandal reachedBhagalpur, villagers informed him that the land was disputed and the JDU MLAwanted to leave, but was stopped by angry villagers. Calling the police, Mandalsought their help with arms threatening to shoot the villagers. He said,"I always carry a revolver and will kill anyone if required".
