The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener and Delhi ChiefMinister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday paid obeisance at the world famous DeviTalab temple in Jalandhar on the auspicious occasion of Navratri. Afterreaching the temple, Arvind Kejriwal took blessings at Sri Tripurmalini ShaktiPeeth and prayed for prosperity, peace, mutual harmony and furtherstrengthening of communal harmony for Punjab and the country.
In the meantime,Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal attended Mata Rani’s Jagran at Devi Talabtemple on the auspicious occasion of Navratri.
Addressing the devotees at Mata Rani's pandal during theJagran, Arvind Kejriwal said that every wish is fulfilled at the feet of ‘DeviMaa’. Kejriwal said that he had come not as a political leader but as a commondevotee to seek blessings of the goddess. He further prayed for peace andtranquility in the entire world and that Punjab and the country always remainin the ascendant. Kejriwal said it was the common responsibility of all of usto make Punjab prosperous and colorful again. Therefore, everyone should riseabove the political boundaries and make their own contribution, he added.
On the occasion, AAP Punjab president and Member ofParliament Bhagwant Mann, party’s Punjab affairs in-charge Jarnail Singh,co-in-charge Raghav Chadha (both MLAs from Delhi), Leader of Opposition HarpalSingh Cheema, MLAs Aman Arora, Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Prof Baljinder Kaur, MeetHayer, Jai Singh Rodi, Kulwant Pandori, state general secretary Harchand SinghBarsat, treasurer Neena Mittal, secretary Gagandeep Chadha, state women’s wingpresident Rajwinder Kaur, among other leaders also paid obeisance at MataRani’s darbar.
Meanwhile, local leaders including district presidentSurinder Singh Sodhi, senior leaders Dr Shiv Dayal Mali, Dr Sanjeev Sharma, LokSabha in-charge Lucky Randhawa, Kartarpur constituency in-charge Balkar Singh,Shahkot constituency in-charge Rattan Singh Kakar Kalan, Atam Parkash Singh andothers were also present.
It may be recalled that Arvind Kejriwal is on a two-dayvisit to Punjab. He arrived at Amritsar airport on Tuesday afternoon on aregular domestic flight. From there he first went to Sekhwan village in Batalaand from there went straight to the Devi Talab temple in Jalandhar to payobeisance. Kejriwal and other AAP leaders are staying in Jalandhar on Tuesdaynight.
