Aftertesting positive for Covid19, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Badalon the very next day was admitted to the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.
Sukhbirthen took to twitter to share the information. In his message, he wrote, "Iwould like to inform everyone that I have tested Covid positive. My health isfine and as per protocol I have isolated myself”.
TheSAD has already cancelled all its political rallies slated for this month inview of rising covid cases in Punjab.

Inaddition clamping down heavily on the fresh Covid surge in state, Punjab ChiefMinister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday ordered massive state-widerestrictions beginning tomorrow, with closure of educational institutions tillMarch 31 and restrictions on cinema/mall capacities.
Alleducational institutions, other than medical and nursing colleges, will remainclosed till March 31, with restriction of 50% capacity in cinema halls and notmore than 100 persons in a mall at any time.
CMalso appealed to the people to keep social activity in their houses to the bareminimum for the next 2 weeks to break the transmission chain. Not more than 10visitors should be entertained in homes, he urged.
