In a massive development, the Indian Defence System intercepted almost all drone strikes that were launched on multiple air bases and civilian areas of India, including Punjab, Rajasthan, etc. As per reports, the Indian air defence successfully shot down two J-17 jets and two other F-16 jets of the Pakistani air force. According to the latest updates, the Indian Army has captured a Pakistani pilot in the Akhnoor district of Jammu. Pakistan on Thursday night, after 8 pm, launched suicide drone attacks targeting multiple civilian areas and army bases in Jammu, Rajasthan, and Pathankot. According to reports, Pakistani drones attempted to strike the Jammu Airport and the Pathankot Air Force Station. In a swift response, India’s advanced S-400 air defense system successfully intercepted and neutralized all incoming drones, preventing any reported damage or casualties at the targeted locations.
Amid the drone strikes, a full blackout was enforced in Jammu from 8 PM onwards as a precautionary measure. Simultaneously, heavy shelling was reported from Pakistan's side in the R.S. Pura sector. Local residents in border areas confirmed hearing multiple loud explosions during the night.
