TheEducation Secretary, Krishan Kumar, while addressing the virtual meetings withthe district education officers, school heads, Block Nodal Officers, Mentors ofdifferent subjects, exhorted them to make the parents aware about the progressof their wards in the pre-board examinations so that they could be mobilisedfor achieving "Mission Shat Pratishat" during the two day ParentsTeachers Meet ( PTM) scheduled to be held on March 08 and 09 in all the Middle, high and senior secondaryschools across the state.
Whileexhorting them to ensure meticulous adherence to the COVID-19 precautions,Krishan Kumar as ked them to share innovative good practices like microplanning, extra classes, and morning wake up calls being adopted for achieving “MissionShat Pratishat.
"ThePTM is the best opportunity to show case various projects as well as innovative activities launched by thedepartment for sprucing up infrastructural facilities and quality inteaching-learning in government schools. The projects include Smart Schools,Smart Class Rooms, Bala Work, Educational Parks, Computer labs, Science Labs,Language Labs, Sohna Furniture, Civil works, Playgrounds, " Word Of the Day", "LibraryLangar", "English Booster Clubs", "Buddy Groups","Each One, Ask One":, "Each One, Bring One", Optimumutilisation of latest digital applications including Punjab Educare App.
"The consistent, concerted and dedicatedefforts of the school teachers to transform the unprecedented challenge posed by the pandemic COVID-19intoan opportunity to explore new vistas of digital education to make the "Ghar Baithe Sikhiya" programme , launched during lock down period to reachout to the students via TV/ Radio, Whats App, Youtube, Google class rooms , hasvirtually brought in a positive change in the mind set of the society",said Krishan Kumar while exhorting them to gear up for reaping the harvest ofthe commendable work done by them.
“Thepeople especially the target section of the society should be sensitised aboutthe drastic changes in infrastructural, quality education and student welfarefacilities like free text books, mid day meal, uniforms, scholarship, smartphones to the eligible beneficiaries for mobilising parents to get their wardsenrolled in government schools, he further added.
