Soonafter Joe Biden took oath as President of United States of America, PrimeMinister Narendra Modi congratulated Joe Biden on assuming office and expressedhis commitment to working with him to take the India-US partnership to evengreater heights.

Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Wednesdaycongratulated people of the US after President Joe Biden and Vice PresidentKamala Harris were sworn in.

"Congratulating the USA on a new chapter of theirdemocracy. Best wishes to President Biden and Vice-President Harris.Inauguration Day," he said in a tweet. His remarks came soon after Biden was sworn in as the46th President of the US.
