Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Wednesday slammed theCongress party for instigating farmers and held them responsible for theviolence that took place at the Red Fort on Tuesday.
As per reports, Prakash Javadekar said that Rahul Gandhiwasn't only supporting protest but also instigating. It was the same duringCAA, Congress holds rallies, they instigate people to take to streets andagitation begins next day. It happened during this agitation too. Theyinstigated farmers.
He further said that a thorough investigation would bedone and those who incited violence won’t be spared. “I want to again stress onthe fact that Congress has repeatedly tried to instigate the farmers”, headded.
“When farmers’ leaders were already saying that this willbe the ‘Final Match’, then the Punjab Government must have supervised thetractors moving out of the state and those found carrying weapons must havebeen arrested under preventive measures but it was not done. Rahul Gandhi wasnot just supporting but inciting them repeatedly”, Javedekar said.
Meanwhile, according to official figures, 394 policemenwere injured in the violence. Most of them are hospitalised while some are inICU.
Besides Delhi Police has taken serious note of the RedFort violence and everyone found involved would be taken to task. He also saidthat face recognition system would be used to identify those found involved inthe violence.
