PSPCL achieves record power supply of 3029 lakh units on June 25: A Venu Prasad

He said that PSPCL will continue to stay committed to providing reliable and quality power supply along with a superior customer services in Punjab.

Punjabstate power corporation limited has successfully catered  the historical record of power supply of 3029 lakh units and alsotouched  maximum demand of 13,161 MW onJune 25,2021.This was disclosed by PSPCL CMD A Venu Prasad in prèss notehere today.

Whilesharing details Shri A.Venu Prasad  saidthat  the previous record of powersupplywas 3018 lakh units on 2nd July,2020. He said that PSPCL has purchased 216 lakh Units with 929 MW of power frompower exchange to meet this demand. He said that PSPCL has made elaboratearrangements upto 13,700 MW of power for thestate.He said that  PSPCL has provided 8hours uninterrupted supply in all 3 times groups of agriculture consumers ofall distribution zones. He also added that additional power supply wasprovided  to AP consumers yesterday ascompensation for the power effected due to outages. He said that even  more than 8 hours supply was provided to  Amritsar, Sangrur, Bathinda and Faridkotdistricts.

He saidthat power  consumers can also directlycontact zonal control rooms in order to update the status of power supplyposition and to redress complaints of the consumers special control rooms havebeensetup at the zonal levels round theclock.
