In a piece of shocking news for all the journalists' fraternity and Punjabi's, senior journalist and eminent anchor of PTC news Davinderpal Singh has passed away in the early hours on Tuesday. He breathed his last at 2 am in a private hospital at Mohali.
Reportedly Singh was suffering from kidney-related issues and was put on a ventilator after his health deteriorated. A few years ago his father had donated his own kidney to him.
Journalists fraternity, politicians, and other sections of society have mourned his demise and prayed to almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear this irreparable loss.
The Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh expressed sorrow over the demise of Davinderpal Singh. He took to Twitter and wrote, “May God grant him eternal peace and give the family strength to bear this loss.”
Similarly, the Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal expressed condolences on his death. He took to Twitter and wrote: “Deeply saddened to learn about the demise of the young and dynamic journalists of PTC News, Davinderpal Singh. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family, friends, and colleagues. May the gentle soul rest in peace!”
Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said in a tweet: “Saddened to known about the untimely demise of a talented and promising journalist of PTC News, S. Davinder Pal Singh. My heartfelt condolences to his family & friends. May Gurusahib grant eternal peace to the departed soul. 🙏🏻”
Notably, Davinderpal Singh was one of the founding members of the PTC news channel.
