Punjab and Haryana were two days ahead of the other statesin beginning the paddy procurement. The two states began on September 26thwhile the others began on September 28th.
As on September 3, the overall procurement of paddy for the2020-21 kharif marketing season is about 5.73 lakh ton. The buy price is theMinimum Support Price (MSP).
Rs 1,888 per quintal for the A grade while Rs 1,868 perquintal for the common grade has been fixed, for the current year.
