In a significantdecision, the Punjab Education Department has decided that B.Ed pass candidateswill no longer to able to apply for elementary posts in the state.

The decision wouldhelp the ETT pass candidates to have more vacancies in hand as there won't beany overlapping by B.Ed candidates for the posts meant for ETT teachers.
The Education Departmenthas amended the rules to bar eligible B.Ed pass candidates from applying forthe post of Primary Teacher.
It is pertinent tomention that ETT Unemployed Teachers were constantly protesting against thefact that only candidates of this level should be considered for the post ofETT.
