Afterreports of rising covid19 cases and night curfew being imposed in manydistricts of Punjab, the Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Badal has today testedpositive for coronavirus.
Inhis statement, the Finance Minister said, "I would like to inform everyonethat I have tested positive for COVID and I will be in quarantine for the nextcoming days," he said.
"Igot myself tested before the session and then again immediately after thesession. Before the session, I tested negative. After the session, I havetested positive," he added.
Meanwhile,in view of increasing coronavirus cases, authorities in Ludhiana and Patialacities imposed a night curfew daily from March 12 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. tillfurther orders.
Earlier,the night curfew was imposed in Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, Kapurthala andHoshiarpur towns of the Doaba region.
