Punjab Government Committed to the Industrial Development of the State: Pawan Dewan

Appeals to NRI community to contribute in the development of Punjab

Punjab Large Industrial Development Board Chairman PawanDewan today said that the Captain Amarinder Singh government is continuouslyworking for industrial development in the state, because of which new industryhas emerged in Punjab. At the same time, the old industries are once again onthe path of progress. These words were uttered by Dewan during a meeting with aspecial delegation of the NRI community from UK at the Board's office in UdyogBhawan.

Dewan said that under the leadership of Chief MinisterCapt. Amarinder Singh the state is on the path of progress.

In this direction, under the Invest Punjab scheme, newindustry is being brought in the state. At the same time, the old industry hasbeen revived. Dewan said that one cannot think of the development of the statewithout industrial development which also provides employment to a large numberof people. Dewan also apprised about the various schemes introduced by thestate government to provide relief to the industries and he also appealed tothe NRI community to invest here to contribute in the development of Punjab.The NRI community in particular can make a significant contribution to theeducation and health sectors of the state.

Jatinder Singh (Jhinda Shergill), President IndianOverseas Congress, Birmingham, UK, said that the NRI community, despite beingmiles away from the country, is attached to the soil. He said that from time totime the NRI community contributes for the development of their villages. Healso lauded the work being done by the Captain Amrinder Singh government forthe strengthening of the NRI community.

Among others present on the occasion were Sudesh Rana,Saurabh Arora, Hitraj Bhumbla, Harwinder Singh, Gurdeep Singh .
