Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has introduced multiple initiatives to improve the state's well-being, ranging from creating job opportunities for youth to revolutionizing health and education infrastructure under the School of Eminence and Aam Aadmi Clinics.
CM Mann has also prioritized the welfare of senior citizens. While the Saade Buzurg Saada Maan program addresses their overall well-being, the Mukh Mantri Teerth Yatra scheme has brought the dream of pilgrimage within reach for many seniors.
On 27th November 2023, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal officially launched the Mukh Mantri Teerth Yatra scheme in Dhuri, Punjab.
This initiative enabled senior citizens to embark on free pilgrimages to sacred sites across India, making spiritual journeys convenient and comfortable. The first phase of the scheme, which concluded on 29th February 2024, facilitated free travel for more than 50,000 devotees.

Eligibility and Application Process
Seniors aged 60 and above who are medically fit can benefit from the scheme. Those aged 75 and above may bring a caretaker along. Applications can be submitted online via the official Connect Punjab website.
