Punjab Lok Sabha polls; Bathinda records highest voter turnout by 11 AM, constuency with the lowest is...

Bathinda stands at the top in regards to the voter percentage in Punjab by 11 AM.

Seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 are underway. Polling in all 13 constituencies of Punjab is going on. As such, Punjab voters are very enthusiastic to cast their votes. 23.91 % of voters cast their vote across the state in the first 4 hours of polling. As such, here are the percentage of votes cast in the first two hours of polling, i.e. from 7 AM to 11 AM in all 13 constituencies of Punjab.

Amritsar: 20.17 %

Anandpur Sahib: 23.99 %

Bathinda: 26.56 %

Faridkot: 25.73 %

Fatehgarh Sahib: 22.69 %

Firozpur: 25.73 %

Gurdaspur: 24.72 %

Hoshiarpur: 22.74%

Jalandhar: 24.59 %

Khadoor Sahib: 23.46 %

Ludhiana: 22.19 %

Patiala: 25.18 %

Sangrur: 26.26 %

Punjab set the record for highest voter turnout in 1967 elections with 71.13%. Not only this, that year saw Punjab churning out the highest voter turnout of the whole country. In 1967, India recorded a voter turnout of 61.04%. Lowest voter turnout ever recorded in 1992, when militants boycotted the elections in the presence of increasing terror activity, and to protest the government at the time. A voter turnout of 23.96 % was recorded.
