Punjab Police forms 3-member SIT to probe complaint against Minister Kataruchak

Punjab police forms three-member SIT to investigate complaint against Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak on the notice issued by Vijay Sampla, Chairman National Commision for Schedule Caste.

On May 8, 2023, the Punjab police responded to a notice issued by Vijay Sampla, Chairman of the National Commission for Schedule Caste, by forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate a complaint filed by Keshav Kumar, a resident of Dhali Shada village. The complaint was against Lal Chand Kataruchak, a Punjab Cabinet Minister. The SIT will be led by DIG BORDER RANGE Narendra Bhargava and will consist of two SSPs - Harish Omprakash Dayama, IPS of Gurdaspur, and Harkmal Preet Singh Khakh, SSP of Pathankot. The SIT will investigate the matter thoroughly and submit its report soon.
