Punjabi pop-singer Sidhu Moose Wala approached by fake Prashant Kishor for Assembly Elections ticket

He further revealed that the funding of the ticket was fixed to be done from abroad.

After the arrest of swindler Gaurav Sharma alias Gora,who posed as Punjab Chief Minister’s election strategist Prashant Kishor, manynew facts are coming up during the probe.

In the latest development, Gora has admitted that beforebeing nabbed by Ludhiana CP Rakesh Aggarwal, he had made a call to acclaimedPunjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala to give him the ticket for the upcoming Assemblyelections.

During the preliminary investigation accused swindlersaid that he had called up Moosewala and finalized the deal for Rs 5 crore.Now, Ludhiana Police is trying to make contact with the pop-singer to confirmthe development.

He further revealed that the funding of the ticket wasfixed to be done from abroad. However, if this happens, a money-laundering groupcould be traced and cases can be registered against the culprits under themoney laundering act.

Presently, Gaurav Sharma is now on remand and he isbeing interrogated to know the name of other members involved in thismalpractice.

Meanwhile, three leaders have approached the police andlodged the complaint against the swindler gang. Reportedly the police havedetained three culprits in the case, one each from Ludhiana, Chandigarh andDelhi.

According to the sources, tricksters have been able to dupethe leaders on the pretext of providing election tickets and had made money in crores.

Divulging the details, Joint Police Commissioner SachinGupta said the accused is a pro in his money extortion business. During theinvestigation, he tries to deceive the officials too but, in haste and pressure, he might have spoken the truth.

Meanwhile, the police is constantly trying to reach outSidhu Moosewala to confirm about Rs 5 crore deal. They have also raised analert for the leaders who have fallen prey in his trap and have asked them tolodge a complaint against him so police can give him a stringent punishment.
