Punjabi singer Harbhajan Mann stands united with protesting farmers in Mohali

“Punjabi singers and songs exist because of farmers. We are because of farmers.”

Punjabi singer Harbhajan Mann has once again proved thathe stands united with the farmers protesting across Punjab and on the Delhiborders against the three black farm laws.

Mann has further asserted that he along with the Punjabimusic industry will continue to support the farmers’ movement until theirdemands are met by the Centre.

The famous singer joined the ongoing farmers’ protestnear Gurudwara Singh Shaheedan, Mohali to give moral support to them. Notably,the adamant farmers’ there have been sitting on hunger strike for a month against the three contentiously passed farm laws.

While talking to farmers, Maan said, “Punjabi singers and songs exist because of farmers. We are because of farmers.”

The famous Punjabi singer has also joined the movement atthe Delhi borders for quite a many times and he said his heart fills with prideto see peaceful movement and the supporters carrying flags in their hands atthe significant spots of Chandigarh and Mohali every evening to remind othersand the government that movement is still on.

The government should take immediate steps to repeal thefarm laws as the farmers have had to protest in the spine chilling cold and nowin the scorching heat, he added.

Mann further said, “The Centre must settle the matter byscheduling meetings and understanding the demands of farmers.”
