CM says, 'Before one nation, one election ensure one education...'

Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that before one nation, one election the Union government must ensure one nation, one education and one healthcare.

During an interaction with the media persons outside the Parliament House, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it is strange that instead of focusing on one nation, one education and one treatment in the country the Modi government is keen for implementing one nation, one elections rule.

CM said that focusing on one nation, one education and one treatment will benefit the citizens of the entire country whereas implementing ‘one nation, one election’ would benefit only a political party.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it is unfortunate that instead of emphasizing on public welfare, the Modi government is focusing on implementing this rule that is not in the interest of regional parties and states.

The Chief Minister said that now Punjab has the best law and order in the country due to the efforts of the state government. He said that security of the residents is the topmost priority of his government.

The Chief Minister said that Punjab is a sacred land of great Gurus, saints and seers who have shown us the path of mutual love and tolerance. The state government is already probing the unfortunate incident of firing on Akali leader Sukhbir Singh Badal and the conspiracy will be exposed soon.

He said that SGPC has not supported the Punjab Police in enquiry by denying the CCTV footage of the Sri Harminder Sahib complex adding that now when the footage will be attained the enquiry will be further proceeded.

The Chief Minister said that it is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that the party has got office in the Parliament House. He recalled his stint as MP in the Parliament of India adding that this platform should be utilised for raising the issues of public importance.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Union government must allow the opposition leaders to raise the public issues in the Parliament in larger public interest.
