A close aide of Bappi Lahiri's issued a statement and informed fans that thesinger-composer had tested positive for COVID 19. Later, the fans were told that he wasadmitted to Breach Candy Hospital post-testing COVID 19 positive.
In the past few weeks, there has been a great surge in the COVID 19 cases especiallyin Maharashtra and many big celebs from Bollywood also have contracted thevirus. Now, singer Bappi Lahiri also has fallen prey to COVID 19, followingwhich he was quickly admitted to the hospital.Hisspokesperson informed that the senior composer had taken all necessaryprecautions to avoid catching the virus.
Thestatement reads, "Despite utmost precautions, unfortunately, Mr. BappiLahiri has tested positive for Covid 19. He is under very good & expertcare at the Breach Candy Hospital."
Hisfamily has urged people that all those who came in contact with him to getthemselves tested. "Bappi dada’s family requests All those who came incontact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as aprecautionary measure," the statement reads.
