When officials found that cook's health was deteriorating they took him to the private hospital where he succumbed to jaundice. However, a sect of media was disseminating false information that he (cook) was coronavirus positive.
The impact of false information was so strong that certain leaders asked the State health ministry to take stringent action against the university.
But, to clear the air health officials took blood sample of deceased cook which has appeared to be Covid-19 negative.
It is to be noted here, that total 40 blood samples from Kapurthala district were collected by health authorities and they all reported negative.
