The BJP on Friday joined issue with Congress president Rahul Gandhi for alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a 'shooting' location for a documentary film even three hours after news of martyrdom of 40 CRPF personnel in the Pulwama terror attack came in.
''Rahul Ji, India is tired of your fake news. Stop sharing photos from that morning to shamelessly mislead the nation,'' the saffron party said in its official Twitter handle.
The BJP sought to mock at the grand old party saying maybe the Congress knew of the attack 'in advance', but "people of the country came to know about it in the evening only".
''Maybe you knew in advance of the attack but people of India got to know in the evening. Try a better stunt next time, where sacrifice of soldiers isn't involved,'' the tweet said.
Launching a scathing attack on the Prime Minister, Mr Gandhi said the 'Prime Time Minister' was shooting for a film even three hours after news of martyrdom of 40 jawans in the Pulwama terror attack came in.
In a post on the social media, Mr Gandhi said, ''Even after the news of 40 soldiers being martyred in the Pulwama terror attack broke out, the 'prime time minister' continued shooting for a film.
''On one hand, the martyrs' families and the entire nation was experiencing an ocean of pain while on the other hand, he (PM) was happily doing a photoshoot.''
On Thursday, AICC media in charge Randeep Surjewala has accused the Prime Minister of being busy shooting a film in Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand when the whole country was mourning the loss of lives of jawans in Pulwama attack in the afternoon.
