Sushant Singh’s father files plea seeking ban on movies based on actor’s life; HC issues notice

Other than seeking a complete ban on the movie ‘Nyay: the justice’, ‘suicide or murder: a star was lost’ and ‘Shashank’ his father has asked for an injunction against any such film or publication based on Sushant’s life.

KrishnaKishore Singh, father of Sushant Singh Rajput has moved to Delhi high courtagainst the movies and other series showcasing the Late actor Sushant’spersonal life, name, images, caricatures, and other personal stuff in any form. Otherthen seeking a complete ban on the movie ‘Nyay: the justice’, ‘suicide ormurder: a star was lost’ and ‘Shashank’ his father has asked for an injunctionagainst any such film or publication based on Sushant’s life.

As aresult Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri Issued a notice on Krishna Kishore’s plea thatany depiction in the form of film, publication, production, or any kind of portrayal of his personal life is a willful breach of the fundamental rightto privacy and it cannot be done without the approval of his family.

AdvocateVikas Singh who is appearing for Sushant’s father informed the court that themovie on the radar has planned to release in such a manner that it may have anegative effect on the pending case and can derail the investigation. Rajput’sfather has also alleged that these depictions are made to ‘malign’ Sushant’simage and influence the CBI investigation. He said people are taking his son’sdeath as an opportunity to get fame and make some money. “Many people are takingthis opportunity to get fame by developing different theories/stories at thecost of my family’s reputation”, he said.

Thesuit has been filed by a group of four advocates including Akshay Dev, VarunSingh, Abhijeet Pandey and Samruddhi Bendbhar. Meanwhile, Justice Kumar hasnotified the filmmakers to put forward their stand by May 24th
