Hours after launch of operation for Amritpal Singh’s arrest, no official confirmation has been received for the same yet. Paramilitary and police forces have been heavily deployed on field. Media reports have confirmed Amritpal’s arrest but no senior police official has come out and declared Waris Punjab De Chief’s arrest.
Meanwhile internet services have been suspended all across Punjab till 12:00 pm tomorrow. Also a heavy deployment of security forces has been made near village Jallupur Khera in Amritsar, the native place of Amritpal.
Police officials on ground are constantly appealing for peace and requesting reporters to ensure that they don’t jeopardise the state’s harmony.
