A day ago, actress-model Gehana Vasisth alias Vandana Tiwari was arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch for shooting and uploading pornographic videos on its website of the property sale. Now the court has sent her to police custody till 10 February.
Earlier, her publicist had issued a statement saying that the Gehna was being falsely implicated. The statement was released by Flynn Remedios on Sunday evening. In which it was said that the video produced and directed by Jewel's company GV Studios can be classified as Erotica.
It is written in the statement that Gehna aka Vandana Tiwari is completely innocent. She is not involved in any porn movie racket. Under her company GV Studio, she has made only such films that can be made by law. Many of these can be categorized as erotic. They are trying to discredit them by falsely implicating personal interests and competitors. We have full faith in the judiciary and the Indian legal system. Unfortunately, the Mumbai Police, which is the best police force in the world, has mixed Gehna's Erotica films with films made as Hard Porn and their makers in India.
There is a legal difference between erotic or bold films and hardcore porn. Unfortunately, the police linked the two together. We hope the courts will recognize the difference and Gehna will get justice.
According to a senior police official, Gehna was arrested on Saturday and produced in court on Monday. She has reportedly shot 87 pornography videos, which she has uploaded on her website. To see them, a paid subscription is required, which has been kept at Rs 2000.
