Tokyo Olympics' President of the organizing committee,Yoshiro Mori is expected to resign after facing criticism for sexist remarks,according to a report published in dw.com.

Mori, the former Prime Minister is embroiled in controversydue to the remarks made by him in the first week of February. He is 83 yearsold. He said, "If we increase the number of female board members, we haveto make sure their speaking time is restricted somewhat, they have difficultyfinishing, which is annoying."

Mori added, "We have about seven women at theorganizing committee but everyone understands their place." Mori in apress conference on February 4 accepted that his remarks were"inappropriate." He had declined to resign during the pressconference but had said that his remarks were unbecoming of the Olympic spirit.

Fuzi News Network and NHK has reported that Mori is nowset to step down as the President as the opposition lawmakers are alsodemanding his resignation.
