A girl diedafter a tree fell over her in Carmel Convent School in Sector-9 Chandigarh a few days ago. Days later another incident of the same nature has been reported in the city thistime in Government Model Middle School, fortunately, no casualty has beenreported this time. The school is located in Pocket Number. 10 Manimajra, the freefell over the boundary wall of the school demolishing the stretch of the fence.
The incidenttook place in the afternoon when a huge portion of the tree fell inside theSchool campus destroying walls and a building inside the campus. Owing to theholiday on the second Saturday, no students or staff members were presentinside the campus. The case has been reported to the forest and engineeringdepartment and fortunately, no casualty has been reported.
