UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has praised Jaspal Singh, a pilot who flew 200 donated oxygen concentrators to India to help the country in fighting coronavirus pandemic. Jaspal Singhis a Khalsa Aid volunteer from the UK and has been felicitated with the Prime Minister’s Point of Light award.
While praising Singh, UK PM wrote a personal letter to him. Boris Johnson said that he was inspired to hear of his “enormous contribution to India’s battle against Coronavirus.”
On seeing the plight of the people of India in the battle against second wave of coronavirus pandemic, Jaspal Singh reached out to his employer Virgin Atlantic to see if they could helpin Covid relief in India by flying the oxygen concentrators. “Having seen the devastating impact of COVID19 in India, I wanted to do everything within my power to support the cause,” Singh said.

Jaspal Singh said that he was more than happy to see people, family and colleagues helping the cause, and donating the concentrator machines to aid India.
“It has been amazing to see the generosity of the general public, colleagues, friends and family who have donated much-needed oxygen concentrators to Khalsa Aid International,”Jaspal Singh added further.
Inspired by pilot Jaspal Singh’s work, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said, “the British people have stepped up in their thousands to help the people of India in a demonstrationof the deep connection between the countries. I was inspired to hear of how you have taken to the skies to deliver hundreds of oxygen cylinders to people in need.”
