US Higher Education: Trump signs Malala Yousafzai Act, USAID to give 50% scholarships to Pak women

Malala Yousafzai is a Nobel laureate and an activist for female education. She is the youngest recipient of Nobel prize. She was shot in the head by Taliban terrorists in Pakistan.

United States Agency for International Development(USAID) will now give 50% scholarship in higher education to women belongs toPakistan because Donald Trump has signed Malala Yousafzai Act.

USAID will give merit based higher education scholarshipto women in Pakistan. A statement issued by the White House stated, “On Jan.13, the president signed into law the Malala Yousafzai Scholarship Act, whichdirects the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to award at least50 percent of Merit and Needs-Based Scholarship Program scholarships toPakistani women.”

Malala Yousafzai is a Nobel laureate and an activist forfemale education. She is the youngest recipient of Nobel prize. She was shot inthe head by Taliban terrorists in Pakistan.

Yousafzai had been trying to extend the scholarshipprogram of USAID for women in Pakistan. The USAID has provided 6000scholarships since 2010.
