Hospitalsare overburdened because of the increasing cases in the states. India recorded3.46 lakh cases and 2,624 deaths in the last 24 hours. This highest spike inthe number of cases. The country is reporting more than 3 lakh cases daily forthe last few days.
UttarPradesh, Maharastra, and the national capital New Delhi are the most hitcoronavirus places in the country as they have contributed the highest numberof covid cases in 24 hours. Despite the increasing cases the hospitals are alsowitnessing the shortage of medical oxygen and people are losing their livesbecause of the shortage of oxygen, beds, and ventilators in the hospitals.
TheHigh Court on Wednesday questioned the Central Government's handling of theoxygen crisis. The High Court said, "Why the government is not waking up?We are shocked and dismayed that hospitals are running out of oxygen and thesteel plants are running."

Hearinga petition on oxygen supply, the Delhi High Court on Saturday observed that itwill "hang" whoever obstructs movement of oxygen.
Theobservation was made by the bench of Justices Vipin Sanghi and Rekha Palliduring hearing of a plea by Maharaja Agrasen Hospital over shortage of oxygen.
TheDelhi High Court said if any official at the central, state or localadministration was obstructing in the picking up or supply of oxygen, then itwould "hang" that person. It said whoever obstructs oxygen supply,will not be spared.
OnSaturday, Delhi reported the death of around 45 patients due to lack of medicaloxygen. About 20 Covid patients died on Friday night at Jaipur Golden Hospitalin Delhi due to a low supply of oxygen. The hospital has appealed to theauthority in the national capital to arrange oxygen at the earliest. And sixpatients die due to the oxygen crisis in Amritsar’s Neelkanth Hospital
