Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra onSaturday attended the 644th birth anniversary celebration of Sant ShiromaniShri Guru Ravidas ji Maharaj at Seer Govardhanpur of the Ravidas temple inVaranasi.
Priyanka also sought blessings of Sant Niranjan Das andenquired about his well-being. She had last visted the temple in 2020.
The Congress General Secretary's visit witnessed amassive crowd as she reached here at around 11 a.m. and offered her prayers atthe Sant Ravidas temple to mark the celebration of the Jayanti.
Priyanka was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh CongressPresident Ajay Kumar Lallu, former MLA Ajay Rai, Varanasi Metropolitanpresident Raghavendra Choubey, Manindra Mishra, Gaurav Kapoor, Naveen Mishraand other Congress leaders.
Earlier, on February 11, took a holy dip at Sangam -- theconfluence of Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati -- on the occasion of"Mauni Amavasya'.
Priyanka took the holy dip in the waters and offeredprayers. The Congress leader went to Sangam by boat amid tight security.
Earlier that Priyanka went in Prayagraj and visited AnandBhawan, the ancestral home of the Nehru family. Here she offered floraltributes at the place where late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's ashes were keptbefore they were immersed in the Ganga River.
She then also interacted with the children of theorphanage in Anand Bhawan and spoke to them on various issues.
