Covid-19 cases in India reach 1,07,66,245 after a singleday, lowest spike in eight month of 8,635, according to data release by UnionHealth Ministry this morning.
The number of cases recorded on September 10 last yearwere 95, 735 while the present tally is the lowest record in eight months.
The total number of fatalities rose to 1,54,486 afterrecording 94 more deaths.
The number of people recovered from Covid-19 are 1,04,48,406while 1,63,352 are active cases as on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the government of India had startedvaccination drive on January 16. DCGI had given approval to two vaccines:Covishield and Covaxin.
