Viral Video: Woman suggests men should stay at home so that girls remain safe

A video of a woman has gone viral on the Internet and it blasts the ideology that a woman should stay at home because the society is not safe.

The viral video was shared on Twitter by user Natasha, with the handle @nuts2406. She shared the clip with the caption, "This is the voice of the women of India. 'I don't want men to safeguard me. I want to say you are the cause of the problem. You stay behind. Let the world be free.' How long can we continue ignoring her?"

In the video, the elderly woman can be seen holding a placard with the text 'She got raped' and 'He raped her' written on it. The text 'She got raped' had a box with a cross on it and the 'He raped her' had a box with a tick in front of it. The placard also had the #ChangeTheNarrative written on it.

Her placard signified that the narrative around rape should not be that a woman got raped, but, it should be that the man raped her.
