With less than two months to go for the release of much-awaited Dhurandhar 2, multiple reports are amplifying the excitement among fans. Dhurandhar has become one of the biggest movies of Bollywood in terms of earning. Aditya Dhar's directorial movie is inspired by true events that exposed how Pakistan's gangsters, terrorists, ISI and politicians work hand-in-hand to spread chaos in India.
Now, reports suggest that Dhurandhar 2 is all set to be bigger and better with an extended starcast.
According to Mid-Day, Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal will have an extended cameo as Major Vihaan Shergill in Dhurandhar 2, while Akshaye Khanna will appear in flashback scenes.
The report quoted an insider saying, "Aditya (Dhar) has been very secretive about the star power he’s adding to Dhurandhar 2. The director, who aims to expand the Dhurandhar universe, has cleverly incorporated a storyline from Uri, despite the difference in timelines.
Vicky’s character, from the 2016 war drama, is introduced in this film, though it’s unclear if he and Ranveer’s characters will cross paths. His cameo will include a few action sequences."
For those who are unaware, Ranveer Singh plays the character of Captain Jaskirat Singh Rangi who is an Indian undercover agent named Hamza Ali Mazari working in Pakistani gangs. Hamza joins Rehman Dakait's gang, and start dismantling the Pakistani underworld.
On other hand, Vicky Kaushal played the character of Major Vihaan Shergill in the movie Uri: The Surgical Strike.
Notably, a scene from Aditya Dhar's movie Uri: The Surgical Strike went viral after the release of Dhurndhar. In one of the scenes of Uri, it was revealed that Captain Jaskirat Singh Rangi was an officer of Indian Army from Punjab Regiment. Captain Rangi was martyred in the Naushera Sector during an ambush by terrorists.
Rangi's wife informs this to Major Vihaan Shergill.
Therefore, if at all Vicky Kaushal will make a cameo in the movie, it is expected that Dhar will use this reference.
