Now, ever since Dhanush and Kriti Sanon’s Tere Ishk Mein's teaser has been released, fans are wondering if it is Raanjhanaa 2.
The reality is that ‘Raanjhanaa 2’ isn't the official title. The sequel, set in the same universe, is named Tere Ishk Mein and will be released on November 28, 2025.
Directed by Aanand L. Rai, the film stars Dhanush, reprising his role from the original 2013 hit, and Kriti Sanon as the new female lead.
Although Raanjhanaa ended tragically, leaving little room for its main characters to continue, this new project is anticipated to preserve the same spirit of intense, all-consuming love.

Scheduled to hit the theatres on November 28 in Hindi and Tamil, the film’s teaser captures the magnetic tension between Shankar and Mukti. As per a statement, after earlier glimpses into their lives, the film’s teaser now reveals a narrative steeped in passion, pain, and the relentless pursuit of love that may remain unfulfilled.
It introduces a love that defies reason, one that destroys and redeems in equal measure. Giving an ode to Rai’s deep connection with Benaras in the teaser, 'Tere Ishk Mein' promises to resonate with fans of his most iconic films.
