Ever Since Made In Heaven Season 2 wrapped up, the question on everyone’s mind has been: Is there going to be a Season 3? Well, the answer is finally here and it’s No.
Recently, while promoting his upcoming film, Lord Curzon Ki Haveli actor Arjun Mathur gave a major update about Made in Heaven Season 3.
Actor Arjun Mathur, while promoting his upcoming project said, “The question, ‘When is Made in Heaven season 3 coming out?’ continues even now. But, yes, there is no season 3. I would have loved numerous seasons, but each season cannot take more than four to five years. So, ussey bahut jaldi Buddha ho jaunga. So, yeah, it ended after two seasons.”
With this all the rumours pertaining to Season 3 have been debunked. Made in Heaven is one of the most successful web shows to be made in Indian OTT space.
Created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti for Amazon Prime Video, the show explores the lives of two wedding planners, Tara Khanna (played by Sobhita Dhulipala) and Karan Mehra (played by Arjun Mathur), who run a Delhi-based agency called “Made in Heaven.”
Through the grand backdrop of big fat Indian weddings, the series delves into deep social themes of class divide, gender identity, sexuality, infidelity, and societal hypocrisy.
The ensemble cast includes Jim Sarbh, Kalki Koechlin, Shashank Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi, and Mona Singh(who joined in Season 2). While actor Arjun Mathur has denied the making of Season 3, there have been no official statements by production house and streaming Partner.
The series was released on 8 March 2019 on Prime Video. The second season was announced on 6th July 2023, with its trailer releasing on 1 August 2023. The second season was released on 10 August 2023.
Bulbul Jauhari played by Mona Singh was appointed as the auditor of Made In Heaven team to increase their profits and control irrelevant expenditures. While at first, Bulbul Jauhari's character seemed nosy and strict in her job professional, slowly her soft nature evolves.
The first time Bulbul Jauhari's positive side was revealed is when she finds out that one of the brides (Mrunal Thakur) is subjected to physical abuse by her fiance.
She then informs Karan and Tara about the abuse but they do not go with her guts. But in the end, Bulbul's intuitions turn out to be true as the bride was brutally assaulted by her fiance during her mehendi ceremony.
While Bulbul Jauhari's character was seen as a strong woman professionally, her character at home is seen struggling to keep her relationship sound with her own son Dhruv. However, at the end of Mrunal Thakur's episode, Bulbul Jauhari's scars were revealed.
