In a major development, Netflix globally hit series Emily in Paris' Assistant Director Diego Borella died at the age of 47. Diego Borella died while filming Emily in Paris Season 5 in Venice.
As per The Sun UK, Diego Borella collapsed while preparing to shoot the final scene of the upcoming Emily in Paris Season 5.
Medics rushed to the scene at the historic Hotel Danieli at around 7pm on Thursday - but they were unable to save him.
Borella was a well-regarded Venetian professional who had trained in Rome, London, and New York.
Diego Borella also worked as a writer, publishing fairy tales and children's stories.
It's understood filming for Emily in Paris has been halted following Borella's death.
Filming was expected to wrap up in the next few days, with the shoot scheduled to take place from August 15 to August 25.
Emily in Paris Season 5 will start streaming on Netflix on December 18.
