After the success of Dahmer and Menendez brothers,Monster franchise is back with a bang. This time, Monster franchise is bringing the notorious serial killer Ed Gein, hence the title- MONSTER: The Ed Gein Story.
The official synopsis of the upcoming series reads, "You know the iconic horror films his twisted legacy inspired, but you may not know his name… yet. This October, Ryan Murphy’s Monster Anthology Series returns with its third - and darkest - season yet. Monster: The Ed Gein Story arrives on Netflix October 3rd."
It will start streaming on Netflix on October 3.
For the unversed, DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story had shown a few glimpses of another two of America's notorious serial killers i.e. Ed Gein and John Wayne Gacy. Ed Gein's name came in the Jeffrey Dahmer Story when Jeff's father Lionel tells him about legal precedence that they can use to prevent him from going to jail and he can be admitted to a hospital despite his serial killings confession.
What raised everyone's eyebrows when Jeffrey Dahmer tells his father that he has known Ed since he read about him in a comic book in his childhood. On the other hand, John Wayne Gacy's few glimpses have also been shown who went on a serial killing spree while Jeffrey was in jail and his trial was going on. After seeing John Wayne Gacy getting arrested and the judges' verdict capital punishment verdict on him, Jeffrey states that Gacy is not like him at all as the 'Milwaukee Cannibal' confessed to his crimes, while the killer in 'jocker attire' did not.
Featuring Mark Wahlberg and LaKeith Stanfield, Play Dirty will start streaming on Amazon Prime Video on October 1, 2025.
