The new mysterious thriller Baramulla, which takes place in the Kashmir valleys, will debut on Netflix on November 7. Against the backdrop of a politically and culturally sensitive region, the film, which was directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and co-produced by Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios and Aditya and Lokesh Dhar of B62 Studios, combines mystery, drama, and supernatural aspects.
The narrative centres on Manav Kaul's character, DSP Ridwaan Sayyed, a recently moved Kashmiri police officer looking into the unexplained disappearance of children in the town of Baramulla. The town's precarious equilibrium is exposed as Ridwaan and his family move into an old house in the valley and deal with tensions and secrets that entwine the otherworldly and the personal.
