IMDb on Wednesday unveiled its much-awaited list of movies that were most popular in 2025. IMDb first released 10 most popular web series in India for the year 2025, and after sometime it unveiled the list of 10 most popular movies of India in 2025. The list has been prepared by IMDb of all the movies released in India between January 1 and November 30, 2025.
Guess what! Bollywood romantic drama Saiyaara has topped IMDb's most popular movie of the year (2025) list.
Saiyaara was first released in theaters in July 2025 and it witnessed a massive footfall of fans. According to reports, Saiyaara's collected over Rs 500 crore at the box office. After completing its theatrical run, Saiyaara was released on Netflix in September and it again became the talk of the town among fans.
Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara featured newcomer actors like Ahaan Pandey, Aneet Padda Varun Badola, and more in key roles.
Saiyaara revolved around an aspiring singer Krish Kapoor played by Ahaan and Vaani Batra played by Aneet Padda. Vaani is a lyricist and a writer in a magazine. Fate brings Ahaan and Vaani together. They fall in love with each other. While Krish becomes a superhit singer by singing songs written Vaani, she started suffering Alzheimer’s disease.
Saiyaara is said to be inspired by critically-acclaimed Korean movie titled- A Moment to Remember.
