Since you have landed on this page, True Scoop assumes that you have already watched the series on JioHotstar and digging deep into Salakaar True Story or Salakaar Real Story. Continue reading below to know the answer-
The answer is yes. As mentioned by the makers, Salakaar is a fictional story inspired by real life events that took place between India and Pakistan. The series revolve around a R&AW Spy who once lived in Pakistan and then went onto become India's National Security Advisor.
Times Now in its report published in June 28 quoted Filmfare. Filmfare reported that director Faruk Kabir's Salakaar is centered around Ajit Doval's life and career.
The answer cannot be determined. The question has erupted around Dr. Kalam after the series showcased a similar character helping RAW Agent Adhir over call.
The series showcased a RAW chief over call with Adhir arguing the idea of derail Pakistan's nuclear program without using any 'gun or force'.
Suddenly, a Dr. Kalam-like character pops up and explains to RAW Chief that he has already held a discussion.
The series has outlined the character as ISRO Scientist.
He says, "Mr. Mehra relax now, we have already discussed in detail. Zia's nuclear plan will only succeed if its fissile uranium cools down quickly, from the unstable heat of 1200 degrees. And, if it does not coold down, the entire reactor will become a ticking time bomb and it wont cool. Because, Adhir's chemically treated water wont let it cool down."
Although there is no public knowledge that Dr. Kalam actually derailed Pakistan's nuclear program, he indeed served at ISRO as a scientist.
As per information available in public domain, Dr. Kalam in 1969 was transferred to ISRO where he became the project director of India's first satellite launch vehicle (SLV) which successfully deployed the Rohini satellite in near-earth orbit in July 1980.
