IMDb on Wednesday unveiled the list of most popular web series of India in 2025. IMDb compiled the list of 10 most popular web series of 2025 based on users' popularity. In the elite list, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan's debut directorial web series The Ba***ds of Bollywood aka The Bads of Bollywood is number 1 on the list.
The Ba***ds of Bollywood was released on Netflix on September 18 and it remained at the top in terms of most watched web series of the week for multiple weeks in India.
In fact, The Ba***ds of Bollywood irked conversation among on fans on social media as well. The Ba***ds of Bollywood revolves around a coming-of-age Bollywood actor Aasmaan Singh played by Lakshya Lalwani, Parvaiz played by Raghav Juyal, superstar Ajay Talwar by actor Bobby Deol, etc.
Aaryan Khan's directorial series witnessed cameos of multiple Bollywood actors and film-makers like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Disha Patani, Rajkummar Rao, etc.
Since the series is a satire on Bollywood, many fans had wondered about the true events that may have inspired the series. For instance, the infamous round-table scene when Aasmaan takes a dig at Karishma Talwar (Sahher Bambba) over nepotism. The scene was similar to actor Siddhant Chaturvedi taking a dig at Ananya Pandey over nepotism. Another scene that resembled to real life incident when anti-drug officer raided a film's success party and arrested an actor for doing drugs.
This particular incident resembled to the infamous Cordelia Cruise Case when Aaryan Khan was arrested by (then) NCB officer Sameer Wankhede.
