₹10 lakh health insurance scheme reflects pro-people vision of CM Mann, Arvind Kejriwal: Nitin Kohli

Not Power but Service Defines Aam Aadmi Party’s Politics; Punjab Creates History Under the Leadership of Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal.

AAP's Jalandhar Central Halka In-charge Nitin Kohli said that the ₹10 lakh free health insurance scheme launched by the Punjab Government is a clear reflection of the pro-people, visionary and welfare-oriented thinking of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal.

With the implementation of this landmark initiative, Punjab has become the first state in the country to provide such extensive health coverage to its citizens.

Nitin Kohli stated that the Aam Aadmi Party believes in politics of service rather than power, and this health insurance scheme stands as a strong example of that ideology.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Government has taken a decisive step to ensure that no citizen is denied medical treatment due to financial constraints.

He said that serious illnesses often push families into economic distress, but this scheme will now provide financial security and dignity to lakhs of families across Punjab. The entire cost of treatment up to ₹10 lakh will be borne by the Punjab Government, ensuring stress-free and quality healthcare for the people.

Appreciating Arvind Kejriwal, Nitin Kohli said that the transparent and people-centric healthcare model successfully implemented in Delhi has now been adopted in Punjab as well. This reflects the Aam Aadmi Party’s commitment to honest governance, efficient use of public funds, and prioritising citizens’ welfare.

Nitin Kohli further informed that every eligible resident of Punjab possessing a Punjab Aadhaar Card or Voter ID Card will be entitled to avail free medical treatment up to ₹10 lakh under this scheme.

He urged citizens to actively participate in the registration camps being organised by the Health Department to ensure maximum benefit of this historic and welfare-oriented scheme.

To ensure the effective implementation of this important scheme, he held a special meeting at his office, which was attended by all the ward in-charges, block presidents, and respected councilors of the area.

During the meeting, a detailed discussion took place on how to ensure that information about the scheme reaches every household and that its benefits reach people at the grassroots level.
