In a major development, Punjab Government's Department of Personnel on Wednesday transferred 26 IAS and PCS officers including 4 DCs. As per the latest order, 2014-batch IAS officer Preeti Yadav has been transferred from Deputy Commissioner Patiala. Her services are now placed at the disposal of the Department of Cooperation for posting as Managing Director, MARKFED relieving IAS Kumar Amit of the additional charge.
IAS officer Varjeet Walia who was posted as Deputy Commissioner, Roopnagar and in addition Additional Secretary, Development & Panchayats will now serve as Deputy Commissioner, Patiala in place of IAS Preeti Yadav.
IAS Ankurjeet Singh who was posted as Deputy Commissioner, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar will now serve as Additional Secretary, Home Affairs in place of IAS officer Amandeep Kaur.
IAS officer T Benith who was serving as Deputy Commissioner, Barnala and in addition Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Barnala will now serve as Additional Secretary, Revenue & Rehabilitation.
