Body Recovered, Police Begin Investigation
A 38-year-old man, identified as Sonu, a resident of Kamal Nagar/Sunflower area, was found dead under circumstances that prompted a police investigation.
After receiving information about the incident, a police team reached the spot, took the body into custody and began examining the circumstances surrounding the death.
Sonu is survived by his wife, Sangeeta, his father Khilawal, two daughters and a son.
Family Says No Enmity or Attack
Speaking to the police, Sonu's wife and father said he had been heavily dependent on alcohol and allegedly spent a significant portion of his earnings on drinking.
According to the family, Sonu frequently stayed away from home. They also told investigators that they had no reason to suspect an assault or attack.
The family reportedly denied any suspicion of murder or conspiracy and said Sonu had no known enmity or dispute with anyone.
Police Probe Points Towards Possible Alcohol-Related Death
Investigating officer Prem Ji said the deceased had been identified as Sonu and that the initial inquiry, along with statements from family members, indicated the possibility that excessive alcohol consumption may have contributed to his death.
However, the exact cause of death will depend on the findings of the investigation and any applicable medical examination.
The family has reportedly declined to seek legal action or register a case against anyone and has requested that the body be handed over to them.
Police Completing Formalities
Police are currently completing the necessary paperwork and other procedural formalities.
While the family has ruled out foul play, investigators are continuing with the required inquiry to establish the circumstances and exact cause of Sonu's death.
