Taking action against crime incidents, the commissionerate police arrested 4 members of a foreign based handling group. According to the information received from the sources the members accused were involved in the cases of extortion and firing. Firearms like modern pistols and bullets have also been ceased from the members.
The primary investigation reveals that the members of the group were working on the instructions given by foreign based handlers and were involved in planning and carrying out various shooting incidents in Jalandhar and SBS Nagar districts. Later an FIR was registered at the Bhargava Camp Police Station regarding the case. Further investigation is being done by the authorities in order to get information on the past and future links of the network and to establish records on further networks and associates involved in the crime.
The Jalandhar Commissionerate received a tip off that some private criminals were wandering around the city in order to destine a major crime in the city and various districts. Taking swift action on the secret information gathered, the police team smartly laid a trap for the group and caught the 4 goons along with their weapons. The initial investigation and interrogation concluded that it was sensationalized that all the accused were working at the behest of their masters sitting across the borders i.e. abroad. These handlers were providing targets and funding to these goons through international calling and social media apps
Officials believe that the arrests have dealt a significant blow to an organized crime network operating in the region. The Commissionerate Police has assured that efforts will continue to dismantle such gangs and maintain law and order, with more arrests expected as the investigation progresses. Authorities are now working to trace the money trail, identify additional gang members, and unmask the full extent of the network involved.
