NHS Hospital successfully organised an International-Level CME & Live Surgery Workshop on Robotic Hip, Knee and Shoulder Replacement Surgery on 21st and 22nd February 2026, marking a historic academic milestone for the region.
The CME and Live Surgery Workshop took place on 21 and 22 February 2026, at the hospital auditorium, in the presence of senior consultants, distinguished faculty and hundreds of participating doctors from across the country. The ceremony officially set the tone for a high-impact scientific exchange focused on robotic orthopaedic excellence.
The mega academic event witnessed participation of more than 400 doctors from across India, along with reputed national and international faculty members, making it one of the largest robotic joint replacement CMEs in North India.
6 High-Precision Live Robotic Surgeries Performed
A key highlight of the CME was the successful performance of 6 Live Robotic Joint Replacement Surgeries, showcasing the latest and cutting-edge robotic technology available at NHS Hospital.

Each surgery was transmitted live to the auditorium, allowing surgeons to observe robotic planning, implant positioning accuracy and precision-based execution in real time.
7 Scientific Sessions & Massive Academic Participation
The CME also featured 7 comprehensive scientific sessions, where experts discussed complex joint cases, emerging robotic trends and evidence-based advancements in arthroplasty.
The overwhelming participation of more than 400 doctors from all over India made the discussions vibrant, interactive and academically enriching.
Visionary Leadership Behind the Mega Event
The event was spearheaded by Dr Shubhang Aggarwal, Director & Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon, who leads a team of 5+ orthopaedic surgeons at NHS Hospital. Orthopaedic joint replacement surgeons of the state attended, including heads of orthopaedic departments from all medical collges of Punjab and Jammu, leading senior surgeons from Chandigarh, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Gujrat, Kohlapur and Wardha.
NHS ortho robotics under the guidance of Dr Shubhang Aggarwal, Director, NHS Hospital and head of orthopaedics, has been the front runner in Robotic Knee and hip replacement in India since 2019. This 6th Live Surgery CME conducted with latest NMC rules, affirmed his commitment to use of technology for benefitting patients in this patients in this part of the world.
