At a time when there is a long queue of people for train tickets, multiple trains of or passing through Punjab have been rescheduled. The list of trains include the ones depart from Jalandhar.
Indian Railways has shared a list of trains that will be disrupted on October 12, 13 and 14. It is due to the work that is underway on the Jalandhar Cantt-Sahnewal-Amritsar section, affecting trains on this track for three days.
According to information, work is underway to lay RCC boxes on the Jalandhar Cantt-Sahnewal-Amritsar section (Ferozepur Division), which will affect the rail line.

The 12497 New Delhi–Amritsar train will only run to Phagwara on October 14.
Train that has been short-originated
The 12498 Amritsar–New Delhi train will originate from Phagwara.
Trains that are diverted
22479 New Delhi–Lohanian Khas will now run via Ludhiana–Phillaur–Nakodar–Lohanian Khas. (No stops at Jalandhar City, Kapurthala, or Sultanpur Lodhi.)
19612 Amritsar–Ajmer will now run via Ludhiana–Lohanian Khas–Ferozepur Cantt. (No stops at Phagwara, Ludhiana, Jagraon, Moga, and Talwandi Bhai.)
